Predictive Journalism: Reporting from the Future We’re Already Missing
"To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle." — George Orwell
Legacy journalism loves hindsight. It waits until the bodies are discovered, the banks collapse, the data leaks, the whistleblowers break. Then, it offers post-mortems dressed in the language of inevitability.
What it rarely offers — and what the world desperately needs — is predictive journalism. Predicative journalism is a category and a movement we must create.

Recently #AndironLabs did a little experiment. The team believes we're at the juncture of a new way of thinking about journalistic information presentation, moving away from single-authored "expert" subjectivity (as Tetlock and others have suggested) to a less "crafted" more "intelligence report" vibe that will naturally increase the relevance/credibility of media while reducing the temperature and risks of confirmation (and other) bias.
Exclusive: Andiron speaks on its movement making approach
Recently, TechDay interviewed our founder, Jonathan Englert. Here’s what they said (and you can watch the video interview above):
Andiron has been at the forefront of enhancing client visibility through core stories and thought leadership by using communications to grow the value of businesses - something that's hard to find.
Jonathan Englert, the founder and director, shared insights into Andiron's journey, unique strategies, and the significant impact they've made across various industries.
